We are committed to restoring our property rights that allow us to rent our homes for 365 days a year as a residential use in Fairfax County. The influence of Fairfax County goes far beyond its borders and this affects not just us, but the entire state and beyond.
We are a group of concerned citizens, homeowners and residents of Fairfax County, Virginia that are advocating to protect our existing property rights to rent our homes.
We represent hosts and citizens in all 9 Districts of Fairfax County and have members everywhere. We host to support our families and pay for medical bills, pay the mortgage, supplement income and allow elderly to age in place.
Existing state laws allows rentals of any duration, including 30 days or less. Fairfax County Board of Supervisors passed a set of regulations on July 31, 2018 that violate state and federal laws including Dillon rule, HUD fair housing, privacy, due process and discrimination as well as removing existing property rights to rent your own home. Virginia Supreme Court has already ruled that renting your home is a residential use, NOT an accessory use and NOT a business despite what Fairfax County has claimed.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
